Why golf?  Why Scotland?  Why now?

“Golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated; it satisfies the soul and frustrates the intellect. It is at the same time rewarding and maddening – and it is without a doubt the greatest game mankind has ever invented.”   Arnold Palmer.

“I could take out my life everything but my experiences here in St. Andrews and I would still have had a rich and full life.”  Bobby Jones, 1958, on the occasion of him being named a freeman of the city of St. Andrews, Scotland.

Some on this trip were born in 1961 which makes this our 50th year.  If not now, then when?

One Response to Why?

We did a similar trip in 2009, we called it The Decades Trip. 2 of us turned 50, 1 of us turned 40. All told there were 8 golfers, 13 days and we did 17 rounds.
